The team challenge consists of randomly selected teams of 2-men and 2-women.  The challenge will have two brackets consisting of novice/Intermediate and Intermediate/advanced.  There will be 16 men and 16 women on 8 teams in each bracket.  There will be 4 men, and 4 women alternates in each bracket.  Alternates will fill in for selected team players as needed.  If not enough players register for each bracket, the number of teams will be reduced based on the number of players registered.

The challenge will take place over a period of 7 weeks with matches being played on consecutive Wednesday nights from June 17th to July 29th, starting at 6:30pm.

Teams in each bracket will be announced at a special “Team Night” on June 10th.  Teams will meet and select a team name and captain at that meeting.

The format of the challenge will be each team will play a men’s double game, a women’s doubles game and then two mixed doubles games.  All four games will be played to 11 points, win by 2. In the event each team is tied with 2 wins at the end of the four games, a fifth tie-breaker game will be played to determine the winning team for that match. Team challenge rankings will be based on the total number of wins and loses by each team in their respective brackets.
