*** THIS REGISTRATION FORM IS ONLY FOR PLAYERS WISHING TO BE A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE KTPA MIXED DOUBLES LADDER LEAGUE (SPRING 2026). ***
Registration open for SUBSTITUTES ONLY is April 1 - May 21, 2026.
Co-hosts for this SUPER fun event are Reba Spooner and Gwen Gates.
You must be an active KTPA member to register.
Substitute player registration:
When registering as a substitute, you will choose your ability level from the list provided during registration.
You will be able to remove yourself from substitute registration any time during the league.
WE NEED ALL ABILITY LEVELS. This is a fantastic way to “try out” the league!!
Format:
Play dates: Wednesdays, April 22nd to May 27th.
Warm up at 5:30 pm and games start at 6:00 pm on courts 1-16.
3 games each night – first to 15 wins.
There will be 32 mixed doubles teams (one male and one female per team), 64 players total.
Week 1 court assignment will be based on random draw, not ability level.
Weeks 2-6 court assignment will be based on cumulative points.
In the case of a cumulative point tie, ladder placement will be decided by points allowed.
In the event of poor weather, that week of play will be cancelled and not made up.
Substitute Details:
Try to substitute for people with the same ability level as players you would normally play with.
A list of current substitutes will be emailed to all substitutes and primary players on Fridays during the league.
Use of Substitutes:
If a team uses one substitute, the team’s score is capped at 8 points per game (max 24 total).
If a team uses two substitutes, the team’s score is capped at 6 points per game (max 18 total).
A substitute may serve as a permanent replacement, except on the final day of play.
If a player is injured during a game and replaced by a substitute, the team’s score for that game will be capped at 8 points (one substitute), or 6 points (two substitutes), regardless of the score at the time of injured player substitution
Alternatively, the uninjured player may choose to finish the game alone and retain eligibility for full points.
