&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;Substitutes will register under the event titled "SUBSTITUTE ONLY Mixed Doubles Ladder League (Spring 2026)."&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Co-hosts for this SUPER fun event are Reba Spooner and Gwen Gates.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You must be an active KTPA member to register.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;Primary player registration:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;u&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;Both members&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/u&gt; &lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;of each team will register.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;Play dates: Wednesdays, April 22nd to May 27th.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;Warm up at 5:30 pm and games start at 6:00 pm on courts 1-16.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;3 games each night – first to 15 wins.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;There will be&lt;/span&gt; &lt;font color="#000000" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"&gt;32&lt;/font&gt; &lt;span style=""&gt;mixed doubles teams (one male and one female per team), 64 players total.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;Week 1 court assignment will be based on random draw, not ability level.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;Weeks 2-6 court assignment will be based on cumulative points.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;In the case of a cumulative point tie, ladder placement will be decided by points allowed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;In the event of poor weather, that week of play will be cancelled and not made up.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;Substitute Details:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;If you need a substitute, find your own substitute from the list that will be emailed each Friday. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;The list will indicate the substitutes’ ability levels. Try to find a substitute with the same ability level as players you would normally play with.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Use of Substitutes:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;If a team uses one substitute, the team’s score is capped at 8 points per game (max 24 total).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;If a team uses two substitutes, the team’s score is capped at 6 points per game (max 18 total).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;A substitute may serve as a permanent replacement, except on the final day of play.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;If a player is injured during a game and replaced by a substitute, the team’s score for that game will be capped at 8 points (one substitute), or 6 points (two substitutes), regardless of the score at the time of injured player substitution&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;Alternatively, the uninjured player may choose to finish the game alone and retain eligibility for full points.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 21px;"&gt;REGISTRATION OPEN: May 15 - June 1.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 21px;"&gt;Hosts are Mary Fonke-Harris and Pat Harris.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 21px;"&gt;A fast-paced, rotational based game designed for social play.&amp;nbsp; Winners advance to higher numbered court and switch partners on the “winning” court and “runner-ups” move down a court and switch partners.&amp;nbsp; Beginning court assignments are based on the playing card that you pick at sign-in (4 through King).&amp;nbsp; For example, if you draw a King, you will start on court 18.&amp;nbsp; If you draw a 4, you will start on court 9.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 21px;"&gt;We will play 11 games with a time limit of 10 minutes or&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 21px;"&gt;a maximum of &lt;em&gt;11 points.&amp;nbsp; The 12th and final game will determine the King of the Court and that game will be played to 11.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The team challenge consists of randomly selected teams of 2-men and 2-women.&amp;nbsp; The challenge will have two brackets consisting of novice/Intermediate and Intermediate/advanced.&amp;nbsp; There will be 16 men and 16 women on 8 teams in each bracket.&amp;nbsp; There will be 4 men, and 4 women alternates in each bracket.&amp;nbsp; Alternates will fill in for selected team players as needed.&amp;nbsp; If not enough players register for each bracket, the number of teams will be reduced based on the number of players registered.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The challenge will take place over a period of 7 weeks with matches being played on consecutive Wednesday nights from June 17&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; to July 29&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;, starting at 6:30pm.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Teams in each bracket will be announced at a special “Team Night” on June 10&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Teams will meet and select a team name and captain at that meeting. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The team challenge consists of randomly selected teams of 2-men and 2-women.&amp;nbsp; The challenge will have two brackets consisting of novice/Intermediate and Intermediate/advanced.&amp;nbsp; There will be 16 men and 16 women on 8 teams in each bracket.&amp;nbsp; There will be 4 men, and 4 women alternates in each bracket.&amp;nbsp; Alternates will fill in for selected team players as needed.&amp;nbsp; If not enough players register for each bracket, the number of teams will be reduced based on the number of players registered.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Kissing Tree Pickleball Association Pickleball Tournament (23 Oct 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The KTPA Pickleball Tournament 2026 will be held on October 23rd-October 25th.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Courts 1-18 are reserved&amp;nbsp; beginning&amp;nbsp; Thursday, October 22nd at 12:00pm until Sunday, October 25th, 8:00PM.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tournament players can begin practicing on Thursday at noon.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Registration begins July, 25th 2026.&lt;/p&gt;
